IPMS on the agenda at FIABCI World Congress 2014

The 65th FIABCI World Congress brought real estate leaders from across the globe together in Luxembourg, and international property measurement standards was on the agenda.

FIABCI World Congress
Ken Creighton, RICS Director of Professional Standards and Chair of the IPMS Board of Trustees, Tony Grant, past FIABCI President, Terry Dunkin, IPMS coalition trustee on behalf of FIABCI, and Claudine Speltz, CEPI President, formed the panel for a discussion of the ambitious IPMS project.

We are creating an international standard, but don’t confuse that with ‘not here’. On the contrary, IPMS is international and written to be implemented everywhere; your market too.
Ken Creighton, Chair of the IPMS Board of Trustees

Speltz said, ‘We have had unsuccessful attempts to unify property measurement in Europe in the past, with this international coalition we are achieving quickly internationally what was almost impossible in Europe alone’.

The first edition of the International Property Measurement standard is expected to be published in June 2014.
